For TYPO3 Version 4.2

The quick reference to the TYPO3 videos shows TYPO3 version 4.2.1. which is quite similar to the current version 4.3 - besides some differences in frontend editing. In case you work with a previous TYPO3 version, we offer a second TYPO3 brief instruction (in German only) with a modified interface in terms of color.

First and foremost, the TYPO3 quick reference is meant as an aid to memory which facilitates - either when learning the operations or after a longer break - getting along quickly with working with TYPO3. Just like the videos, the quick reference only shows one of the many ways TYPO3 offers to accomplish a working step.

In order to follow all steps, please set a checkmark at [Extended view]. The icons and help texts may deviate partly from your system, depending on the TYPO3 version, configuration of the interface, and context.

The TYPO3 quick reference is widely geared to the video tutorials; yet there can be slight deviations since the videos are didactically structured while the quick reference describes isolated working steps.
